तन को मिल जाये तरुवर की छाया,

भटका हुआ मेरा मन था,
कोई मिल ना रहा था सहारा
लहरों से लगी हुई नाव को
जैसे मिल ना रहा हो किनारा
इस लडखडाती हुई नव को
जो किसी ने किनारा दिखाया,

शीतल बने आग चन्दन के
जैसी राघव कृपा हो जो तेरी
उजयाली पूनम की हो जाये
राते जो थी अमावस अँधेरी
युग युग से प्यासी मुरुभूमि
ने जैसे सावन का संदेस पाया
ऐसा ही सुख मेरे मन को मिला है,

  18. Wow! I am a 16 year old American girl in LA who grew up on Miley Cyrus and GaGa and I have to admit – this riff is absolutely mind-blowing. It makes me want to give up all my vices – not that I have many, I’m only 16 – and learn this hypnotic language. What is this song about? It’s so soothing to my heart.   19. @Ann, the fact that you love this song tells me that you have a nice beautiful soul which the Lord has chosen to dwell in since you have transcended language in admiring a song without knowing its meaning. This song is about the benediction that a thought of the Lord (in this case Lord Ram) can bring to the mind of the devotee. This song compares the state of mind of a devotee to a lot of things.

    It says that the thought of Ram makes the person as peaceful as someone who has found shade to protect himself from the scorching sun. Just as the night of the full moon removes the darkness and the thought of the New moon the Lord removes all the darkness from us. “Just as a drought ridden land looks up to the rains with great hope, I look up to you my Lord” says the poet.

This is the real Ram song I ever heard in my life this song is really applicable to my Gurudev Pandit Shri Ram Sharma Aacharya (Founder of Gayatri family)who’s blessings gave me the right direction to go ahead in life and now I am Pilot in Indian Coast Guard and serving the nation with pride. whenever i heard this song I remember my Gurudev.
